When to start
Sexual activity may resume when the patient is ready, which is generally by six weeks postpartum.
Contraception
Before resuming sexual activity contraceptive plans should be discussed. If patient doesn’t want to be pregnant sooner, she should be practicing some contraceptive method after discussing health care professionals.
